#x 9; Review the manufacturing process and conceptualize & design tools, or improvements related to the production lines. Design or specify equipment, tooling, fixtures, equipment vendors, project timelines Execute mechanical FEA simulations to support design decisions Produce Solidworks models, engineering drawings, and BOMs to support the design process Test, validate, lead installation, work with equipment vendors on commissioning and hand off to manufacturing. Drive new prototyping and build activities, supported by other engineers and technicians, to demonstrate design improvements and incorporate design-for-assembly feedback Collaborate with internal engineering teams including NPD, production, facilities, purchasing, etc. Own relationships with component vendors and manufacturers to ensure receipt of quality components that meet the needs of our commercial systems Analyze process data & metrics to drive improvements on safety, quality, and cost.
