Job Summary and QualificationsResponsible for and provides direction and guidance to the daily operations of both Respiratory Therapy and Neurodiagnostic Services. Ensures mechanisms and processes are in place to maintain standards of care
Reviews productivity at daily to allow timely staffing decisions. Operates within operational parameters.
Responsible for accurate time clock management for all direct reports in accordance to guidance provided by Fiscal leadership
Works collaboratively with departmental Managers, Physicians and Administration to plan and implement strategies for short-term and long term growth and development of Respiratory Services and Neurodiagnostics to meet the needs of the facility and the community.
Ability to perform all task required of staff level Respiratory Therapist including Pulmonary Functions. Communicates to direct reports on an ongoing basis the status of achievement of organizational as well as unit-based goals.
Ensures adequate equipment and materials are maintained for proper functioning of the department
Delegates authority and/or tasks to direct while accepting all accountability for departmental activities
Accountable for all phases of staff development including recruitment, orientation, retention, supervision, competency and professional growth.
Establishes and monitors the clinical service's budgetary needs.
Participates with review and revision of policies and procedures. Adheres to hospital policies and procedures and ensures compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
Participates in professional development activities.
Education & Experience:
Required: 2 years of Healthcare management experience with 5 years of experience in a clinical position in Respiratory
Preferred: 5 years Healthcare management with experience in Respiratory
Required: B.S. degree
Preferred: Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Field or Nursing, or Master's Degree
