Job Title: Registered MRI Technologist

Location: Canton - Potsdam Hospital

Hours Per Week: 37.5 weekly scheduled hours

Schedule: 12 hour shift, 6:30a-7p, weekend rotation

SUMMARY: As a crucial member of our Imaging team, the Registered MRI Technologist operates MRI equipment to perform high-quality MRI procedures according to provider orders. You will ensure compliance with approved techniques, policies, and regulatory standards set by health agencies and our organization. Your commitment to professional standards is vital for the safety and care of our patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform MRI procedures using your knowledge of anatomy, positioning, and MRI techniques, while maintaining NYS IV certification for administering MRI IV contrast as needed.
• Assist Radiologists during MRI interventional procedures, providing them with the necessary images for accurate interpretation.
• Adhere to all guidelines for patient and staff screening regarding MRI safety, providing education on MRI safety to all individuals in proximity to MRI equipment.
• Follow established organizational standards, including patient identification, patient education, consent processes, order verification, and infection control protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality control procedures, maintaining high standards throughout imaging processes, image quality, documentation, and safety.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Graduation from a Radiologic Technologist or MRI program.
• Current registration with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT)
• NYS IV certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Advanced Registry in MRI

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Requires exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; involves frequent standing, walking, or squatting.

PAY RANGE:

$36.02 - $53.46

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. Future modifications may occur, and additional pay components may apply based on experience, qualifications, and internal factors.
