DPP is seeking a Scrum Master for an opportunity in Columbia, SC. Work arrangement:
- Fully onsite
- W2 position; 12 months, with possible extension
Position summary:
- The Scrum Master will facilitate and coordinate Agile and Scrum processes within the organization, ensuring the team can work collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality solutions.
- The Scrum Master is responsible for removing impediments and facilitating Scrum ceremonies to include daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement and sprint retrospectives.
- You will work closely with the product owners, stakeholders, and product development teams to ensure that the work progresses on schedule, within budget, and to the desired level of quality.
- Additionally, you will serve as a coach and mentor to the team - helping to foster a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the team is meeting its objectives consistently.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum activities such as daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, sprint review, and sprint retrospective. Ensure team follows Scrum framework and agile principles.
- Promote continuous improvement through retrospective and feedback sessions.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Track KPIs and help teams deliver high-quality products/solutions on time.
Education:
- A bachelor's degree is required.
Certifications:
- Certification in Agile methodologies such as Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master is preferred.
Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- 3 years of Azure DevOps experience.
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum principles and practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies.
- General conceptual understanding of programming and DB querying.
- Prior knowledge of Agile project management tools.
- Experience and ability to integrate hybrid project management (Agile combined with Waterfall).
Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- General conceptual understanding of programming and DB querying.
- Certification in Agile methodologies, like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM).
- Government experience desired but not required
- ERP experience preferred
