Schulte Companies is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented House-Person to join our team!
Works evening shift. 3pm-11pm Weekends required. Off on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.
Cleans and maintains all hotel public areas, including restrooms, hallways, stairwells, etc. to meet quality standards
Cleans bathrooms, dusts furniture and pictures, vacuums, sweeps and mops floors
Empties carts of soiled linen and disposes trash
Removes spots, insects and debris, polishes fixtures and cleans ashtrays
Delivers items to rooms upon request and assists in cleaning guest rooms as needed. Other duties as assigned
Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets and vending areas; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters; sweep and wax floor, remove non-floor closet items and store in appropriate areas.
Respond to guests' requests such as delivery of housekeeping supplies (e.g. linens, t.p., etc.) in a timely and efficient manner.
Clean other designated areas such as public restrooms, fixtures, vending areas, storage areas, and other public areas for assigned floors.
Report to supervisor needed repairs or unsafe conditions.
Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action is taken to achieve complete guest satisfaction.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
May regularly assist with deep cleaning projects.
May assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and requirements:
This job requires ability to perform the following:
Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and pushing and or pulling items up to 300 pounds
Frequently standing up and moving about the facility
Frequently handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility
Frequently bending, stooping, and kneeling
Other duties as assigned
Education and experience:
Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred
Minimum of 1 year in Housekeeping role
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
