This position is a first-line greeter in a 125-seat restaurant with an adjacent 40-seat dining area. As a working supervisor, this position sets up and tears down banquet facilities and ensures serving personnel are scheduled. Duties include greeting and seating guests, explaining menu items and specials, assisting with resolving complaints, handling monetary transactions, supervising employees, and preparing work schedules. The Facility Manager is required to work weekends and some holidays with a varied work schedule. Applicant must have excellent public relations skills, a valid driver's license, and be 21 years of age or older, as this position is required to serve alcohol. Applicants must meet or exceed the following qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; Minimum of one year of facility management experience. The Facility Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, maintenance, and logistics of state-owned facilities to ensure they remain safe, functional, and compliant with state and federal regulations. This position plays a key role in scheduling maintenance, managing facility use, coordinating with contractors, and supporting operational efficiency. Primary responsibilities include monitoring daily facility operations, ensuring that buildings, equipment, and grounds are maintained in good working condition; assisting in scheduling and coordinating preventative maintenance, repairs, and facility inspections; ensuring that safety and compliance standards are met, including OSHA, ADA, and environmental regulations; tracking and reporting facility issues, ensuring timely resolution through maintenance teams or contractors; supervising staff by interviewing, recommending staff for hire/fire, assigning and reviewing work, counseling, and evaluating the performance of incumbents; assisting with inventory management of maintenance supplies and equipment; coordinating facility reservations and space utilization for meetings, events, and department needs; managing facility access, security, and visitor procedures in coordination with relevant departments; assisting in developing and enforcing facility policies and guidelines for state employees and visitors; supporting emergency preparedness by maintaining evacuation plans and emergency contact lists; assisting in managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely and cost-effective service; helping coordinate contracts for cleaning, landscaping, security, and maintenance services; verifying contractor compliance with state procurement policies and service agreements; maintaining facility records, including maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service agreements; assisting in budget tracking and expense reporting for facility-related expenditures; providing input on cost-saving initiatives and resource allocation to improve efficiency; and supporting procurement of supplies and equipment as needed.
Knowledge and skills required include knowledge of facility operations, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations; familiarity with building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems; ability to use facility management software and work order tracking systems; understanding of state procurement and contract management processes; strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines; excellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with staff, vendors, and contractors; knowledge of inventory control, purchasing and procurement procedures, and customer service; ability to greet customers and provide information concerning services and functions of the facility; ability to plan, organize, and oversee the work of subordinates and coordinate work activities.
