Description
Job Overview: As a Community Manager, you will provide strong leadership and management direction on behalf of the Board of Directors and FirstService Residential. This position oversees the entire operation, adhering to the mission and vision of the Board and community. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of community business and operations, serving as the primary contact, enhancing communication, and overseeing staff and operations. The Community Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations, legal compliance, and overall oversight of the association and staff.
Your Responsibilities
Provide leadership in developing short-term and long-range plans, and lead annual goal setting. Review organization structure, job descriptions, and functions; make recommendations to the Board. Partner with organizations to provide community services. Support Board sub-committees and ensure knowledge of governing documents. Maintain communication between the Board and committees. Ensure community needs are addressed through leadership and guidance. Work with the Board to create and implement the annual budget. Monitor and report on the financial position of the association. Lead Board meetings, support agendas, and prepare reports. Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff. Coordinate with emergency organizations and develop emergency plans. Develop and implement community programs and assess community needs. Participate in professional groups and stay updated on industry trends. Maintain visibility in common areas and ensure compliance with agreements and policies. Perform building inspections and ensure the protection of funds and assets. Maintain regular attendance and punctuality. Skills & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business or related field; 3+ years in property operations, hospitality, or construction; or equivalent experience. 7+ years in community management or related field, with at least 4 years managing staff. Management experience in small/medium organizations preferred. Knowledge of building management, condominium law, and financial law. Valid drivers license and insurance. Commitment to obtaining professional designations (CPM, PCAM, ARM, AMS). Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing, lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing stairs, and mobility around the property.
- Extended periods of sitting and standing, effective communication, and dexterity for typing.
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors, extended hours, and handle stressful situations.

$65,000 - $70,000 annually.
