Primary Function

Perform a variety of accounting duties to support the accounting operations. The incumbent will be responsible for various preparations of financial reports, preparing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, and assisting in internal audit programs.

Responsibilities
  • Gather data and assist in the preparation of various reports.
  • Analyze and reconcile any discrepancies within the general accounting functions. Will report on utility use, expenditures, etc. and provide analysis for review.
  • Maintain Monthly Utility reporting, tracking expenditures and providing AP with invoices.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances in scrap and production order variances
  • Assist as backup for accounting analyst and provide support to Cost Accounting.
  • Assist with month end closing procedures
  • Prepare specific monthly journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations for key accounts.
  • Assist in the coordination and implementation for internal cycle count audit program.
  • Observe all procedures and policies in accordance with GAAP, company policy, and federal/state regulat
  • Qualifications

    Associate Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred or pursuing degree

    Work experience with Accounting preferred

    Strong attention to detail and high organization skills

    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook

    Experience with SAP is preferred

    Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and documents
