Job Description: We have a Desktop Support Technician position located at The Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex in West Liberty, KY. We are seeking a knowledgeable technician with a high aptitude for customer service. Candidates must have a minimum of one to two years of experience in Desktop Support or similar role. This must include installation, troubleshooting, and repair of devices in a windows-based environment. Along with desktop duties the candidate may be required to assist with security cameras, servers, and network switches. This position will provide desktop support to the client staff within the Correctional Complex but will also interact or be among inmates as they are used for work detail. Qualified candidates must maintain a valid driver's license and be able to lift and carry heavy objects or work in uncomfortable positions for extended periods of time. Candidate must be able to pass a Department of Correction (DOC) background check and extensive drug test prior to starting. DOC holds training that can last up to two to three weeks. This training teaches them how to work, adapt, and conduct themselves in a prison atmosphere.
