Job Title: RN Rehab Supervisor
Position Summary:
The RN Rehab Supervisor oversees the clinical and administrative operations of the rehabilitation nursing unit. This role ensures high-quality patient care, staff supervision, and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. The RN Supervisor serves as a liaison between nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, and leadership
Pay - $2,600 per week (includes $1,246 stipend)
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support RN, LPN, and CNA staff in delivering rehabilitation-focused nursing care.
- Coordinate patient care plans with physical, occupational, and speech therapy teams.
- Monitor patient progress, participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with facility policies and state/federal regulations.
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care.
- Handle staffing assignments, call-offs, and time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
- Mentor new staff and provide ongoing training and competency assessments.
- Respond to patient, family, and staff concerns or incidents and escalate as needed.
- Conduct audits and quality assurance checks to ensure continuous improvement in patient care.
- Participate in infection control, fall prevention, medication safety, and other clinical initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and other department heads on policies, staffing, and program improvements.
Requirements:• Active RN license in Ney York• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in rehab, skilled nursing, or long-term care• 1+ year of supervisory or charge nurse experience strongly preferred• Strong understanding of rehab processes, patient-centered care, and interdisciplinary collaboration• Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and leadership skills• Familiarity with EMR systems and regulatory requirements (CMS, Joint Commission, etc.)
