First Connect Health is seeking a local contract Polysomnographer for a local contract job in Johnson City, New York.

Job Description & Requirements

Required Certifications & Licensure:-BLS from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross.-RPSGT Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.

-Explains set up and testing protocols to patient/caregiver answering any questions that they may have.-Sets up patient per policy/AASM guidelines.-Performs studies per policy/AASM guidelines.Closely monitors the patient for clinical and physiological events and taking appropriate actions to obtain required sleep/wake data.-Performs Titration and Split night studies in accordance with policy and/or physician orders.-Wakes patient when appropriate amount of data is obtained, and study is completed.Removes electrodes and transducers careful and the patient will be assisted with hygiene as necessary.-Scores studies in accordance with AASM scoring manual guidelines.Completes all scoring in a timely manner.-Scoring takes precedent over all other non-patient related functions (i.e.CEU, housekeeping duties).
