Posting Summary

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Data Collector: Assessor will be expected to drive to assigned classrooms to administer tests or classroom observations. Assessments will be conducted at the childs schools/centers. Among the key duties of this position are:

  • Scheduling appointments with schools, administering the assessments, reporting the number of completed assessments on a weekly basis to the Project Coordinator, and returning completed assessments to NIEER .

Salary Details $38.00 Per Hour

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and have effective client service skills.
  • Ability to record and maintain data in computerized and non-computerized formats.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree with a focus or major in child development, early childhood, psychology or related field.
  • Knowledge about child development and developmentally appropriate early childhood teaching practices is preferred (e.g. Teacher).
  • Experience in classroom settings and/or working with children.
  • Working knowledge and the ability to use basic spreadsheet, word-processing, and database and analytical software for data analyses, such as STATA , SAS , R, mplus, and HLM .
  • Ability to write, speak, and read Spanish.
  • Experience working with Hispanic communities.
