The Clinical Nurse Educator is responsible for staff development, in collaboration with the members of the Leadership Team and under the direction of the Manager of Education, to facilitate the delivery of quality patient care and the improvement of nursing practice at Memorial Healthcare. This goal is achieved by participation in educational programming, patient and family education pursuits, nursing orientation/competency, and other programs as needed. Involved in interdisciplinary projects as representation of nursing may assist in the operational aspects of education as assigned. Strives for superior performance by consistently providing a product or service to leadership and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the patient and family experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of patient and family centered care.
