Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

The world runs on data. Data runs on STACK.The PositionAt STACK, the Development Associate supports an assigned portfolio and the Development team. The Development Associate is responsible for coordinating infrastructure development activities, including assisting in land transactions and supporting agreements, coordinating diligence and permitting efforts, supporting utility and network interconnections, working with design and construction teams, implementing project budgets, and participating in data center site location efforts.The Development Associate is also responsible for tracking portfolio level development projects and corporate priorities, including working with the Director to build cases for the identification of new sites and markets, network and energy procurement, and participating in product development and sales-support activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in program and project management functions related to large, complex development transactions and an ability to understand key stakeholder interests.Responsibilities

  • Assist with evaluation and selection of existing data center assets and/or adaptive re-use and modernization for the purposes of acquiring and developing into a STACK data center property.
  • Assist data center and infrastructure development efforts, including tracking of property diligence and permitting, site and facility design, utility interconnection, and participating in location strategy and land procurement.
  • Assist with Request for Proposal development, bid analysis, and preparation of recommendations with the Director, Development
  • Support data center land development transactions, including preparation of presentations, tracking market activity, and weekly and biweekly reports.
  • Interface with internal and external partners, including finance, construction, design and engineering, sales, legal, tax, and consultative resources.
  • Aid the preparation of business cases and recommendations for leadership approval
  • Run point on budget discussions with STACK and construction teams.
  • Act as liaison between the Development and Construction teams.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly CIP reports to key clients; track associated budget models.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives across the department.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Associate's degree in a business or technical discipline
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of prior experience in commercial development, data centers or other mission critical facility functions
  • Minimum 5 years' experience with complex transactions
  • Experience leveraging existing infrastructure by modernizing legacy data centers or repurposing sites and buildings
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, creative thinking, and communications skills
  • Comfort creating process and implementing strategies and procedures that serve an organization
  • Ability to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervision
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with internal staff, external consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite, or similar
The Details
  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Travel: Domestic travel required, up to 20%
  • Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000/year + target bonus
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Must pass comprehensive background screening
