Botsford Associates is looking for Full-Stack (UI Focused) Developer to join our team, working directly with a major banking client on strategic programs within their Treasury Technology Group. This is a pivotal role in building the next generation of financial models and processes that measure and manage market risk for the bank's retail portfolios, leveraging cutting-edge technologies.

Our client's Treasury Analytics Group is responsible for the measurement and management of market risk (interest rate and foreign exchange) for the Bank's retail portfolios. The team develops financial models and processes required for measuring, transfer pricing, hedging product profitability, and financial management reporting. As a Senior Full Stack/UI Developer with Botsford Associates, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing cloud-based applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain highly performant and user-centric front-end (Angular) and back-end (Java, Spring Boot) applications.
• Build and enhance REST APIs and microservices, ensuring seamless integration across diverse systems.
• Solve complex technical challenges creatively and independently, delivering clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Collaborate effectively with product owners, designers, and other team members within an Agile environment to deliver exceptional products.
• Contribute to team success by coaching junior developers, sharing technical expertise, and performing thorough code reviews.
• Explore and implement new tools, frameworks, and technologies to continuously improve development processes and resolve technical issues.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure team alignment on goals.
• Develop and execute automated tests to guarantee the quality and reliability of code.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Python syntax, data types, control structures, functions, and error handling.

What you'll bring to the team:

Mandatory Skills:

• 6+ years of experience as a Full Stack Developer, with demonstrable expertise in Angular.
• 4+ years of experience working with RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL), NoSQL (MongoDB, ELK), and data streaming technologies (Kafka).
• Proficiency in building and consuming REST APIs, with hands-on experience in microservices architecture.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously on complex tasks.
• Exposure to DevOps practices and automation tools.
• An eagerness to share knowledge and coach junior team members.
• A growth mindset, with a passion for learning new technologies and continuously improving your craft.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., MS Azure, Kubernetes, Azure app-service/containers) and distributed applications.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience in integrating security protocols (JWT, OAuth).
• Demonstrable architecture, design, and development experience.
• Hands-on experience with development tools and frameworks such as Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Git, and Nexus.
