The Program Aide under general supervision performs legal research to assist assigned faculty including:

Qualifications

Required Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Experience:

One year of legal research

Preferred Education:

Master of Law or Juris Doctorate degree

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.

Interpersonal and communication skills.

Planning and organization skills.

Responsibilities

Document Review

Completing a literature review of European migration law, inside and outside of the European Union

Reviewing documents related to U.S. immigration law and educational policy

Empirical research on U.S. subfederal immigration laws and policies

Researching federal government funding of policing

Reporting and Documentation

Prepares reports on activities
