SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Manager manages the flow of goods, resources, and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Implements a strategy to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. Leads coordination activities with procurement, production, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Resolves bottlenecks or problem areas in the supply chain. Monitors suppliers and service providers for quality and performance. SCM is responsible for negotiating long-term and short-term transactions with suppliers. This position plans and incorporates strategic purchasing methods company-wide. They are responsible for collecting and maintaining data on potential suppliers and distributing purchasing information to necessary members of the Team. The SCM negotiates the prices for services and/or products and provides exceptional internal customer service throughout the company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.
  • Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain.
  • Collaborates with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels.
  • Implements processes and systems and utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands.
  • Oversees auditing processes to ensure procurement and recordkeeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations.
  • Prepares purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtains quotes and recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtains approval from upper management as needed.
  • Works with Program Management to ensure accurate flow down of information to suppliers.
  • Ensures orders are delivered on time and at cost. Reports and maintains on time delivery metrics.
  • Resolves billing and shipping issues with Accounting and provides feedback to suppliers.
  • Qualifies suppliers and maintains Approved Supplier List. Creates Master Vendor files in MRP.
  • Represents company interests internally and externally in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Proposes potential enhancements to relevant systems as they are realized and when appropriate.
  • Searches for, identifies, and presents cost-saving opportunities.
  • Works independently and in teams.
  • Maintains accurate, detailed records and/or company files.
  • Adheres to all company procedures in accordance with ISO/AS9100.
  • Assists with on-site facilities maintenance and manages sub-contractors.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
  • Uphold the company core values
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: May Supervise employees and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities to include interviewing, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years Supply Chain Management experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years Procurement experience in manufacturing will be accepted in lieu of degree.

SKILLS: Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Ability to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Authorization to work in the United States. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
