Position: National Accounts & Talent Acquisition Manager
CPA firm headquartered in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join immediately. This role offers a non-micromanaging environment where self-review and accuracy are valued, along with a collaborative, employee-focused culture.
Requirements:
- Prosystem FX Tax software experience (required)
- CCH Practice Management software (preferred)
- Full-time and part-time positions available with remote, onsite, or hybrid options
- Open to stay-at-home parents
Responsibilities:
- Manage tax returns and financial statements
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts for new stores
- Work with entities to process monthly general ledger downloads into QuickBooks
- Analyze reconciliations and suggest improvements
- Research and respond to client inquiries
- Understand accounting fundamentals (Deferred Revenue, AR Allowance, FX conversions, etc.)
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Reconcile and review bank and general ledger accounts
- Assist with audit inquiries
- Prepare quarterly reports for the board
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience (public accounting or private industry)
- CPA preferred
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite
