At Out of the Box Technology, the Bookkeeper I plays a vital role in supporting our clients' financial health by ensuring accurate transaction processing, account reconciliation, and financial reporting. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, eager to grow, and comfortable using QuickBooks Online and/or Desktop.
Working under the guidance of senior bookkeepers and accountants, the Bookkeeper I will assist in maintaining clean and accurate financial records, processing payables and receivables, and supporting month-end close activities. Primary Responsibilities
Daily Bookkeeping & Transaction ManagementEnter daily financial data and perform routine bank and credit card reconciliationsRecord and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online / DesktopProcess accounts payable and accounts receivable with attention to detail and timelinessAssist with payroll entry and recording from third-party providersPrepare basic financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statementsCommunicate with clients to gather financial data and clarify entriesQuickBooks Expertise
Set up and maintain clean and accurate QuickBooks files (QBO / QBD)Utilize bank feeds to efficiently categorize and reconcile transactionsGenerate standard QuickBooks reports for internal and client useSupport payroll data entry and payroll tax filing processes when neededReconciliation & Compliance
Ensure accuracy in transaction entry and resolve discrepanciesTrack and manage sales tax reporting for clientsSupport month-end and year-end close processes in collaboration with senior staffAssist with client audit preparation by gathering required documentationClient and Vendor Communication
Respond to client questions regarding invoices, reports, and QuickBooks functionsCoordinate with vendors to manage bill processing and paymentsRecord employee reimbursements and ensure expense documentation is completeOperational Excellence & Growth
