We are seeking aProgram Assistantwho will provide basic administrative and operational support for a specific program within a department. The Program Assistant supports the planning and daily operations of the program.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support for outreach activities and internal events; assist with preparation of materials, set-up and breakdown, and participate as needed at events and activities.
  • Assist with data entry, report production, and basic analysis of program results.
  • Assist with development and distribution of program communications.
  • Respond to or elevate questions and provide customer service through email and by phone.
  • Contact service personnel or other resources for program needs.
  • Monitor supply inventory and order supplies.
  • Operate and coordinate the servicing of office equipment
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of related experience.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond HS diploma/graduation equivalent, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred QualificationsTechnical Qualifications and Specialized Certifications
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Education and Experience EquivalencyPlease refer to the job description above to see which forms of equivalency are permitted for this position. If permitted, equivalencies will follow these guidelines: JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
