Job Description

Everest Reinsurance Company, a member of the Everest Re Group, LTD, is seeking a Property Facultative Underwriter for the Atlanta office. A high level of technical underwriting, communication, and analytical skills is necessary to develop and manage business to achieve long-term underwriting profit and growth.

Responsibilities:

• New business production and renewal underwriting, adhering to underwriting rules and guidelines, and developing strong customer relationships through top-notch service.
• Collaborate with claims, accounting, and product management to support company objectives.
• Travel as needed to assigned markets and territories after initial training.
• Build relationships with ceding companies and reinsurance intermediaries.
• Maintain awareness of competitor capabilities, strategies, and the overall insurance marketplace.
• Experience with catastrophe models is a plus.
• Property Facultative experience preferred.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Property Underwriter, including large accounts.
• Excellent marketing skills and established relationships with insurance companies.
• Strong interpersonal and writing skills; ability to interpret engineering reports.
• Reinsurance experience and catastrophe modeling knowledge are pluses.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required.
