The Opportunity:

We are looking for experienced, innovative, and motivated IT Specialists to support the enablement of USAREUR-AF and their Mission Partners' objectives.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed Systems Engineering Lead, SME. This position supports a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, USAR-EUR-AF, and their Mission Partner G33 MCSD located in Wiesbaden, Germany. The role requires travel OCONUS and is located OCONUS.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, implement, test, or evaluate systems; prepare analyses, reports, change proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Perform systems engineering functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or resource management.
  • Serve as a technical SME on systems engineering processes, tools, hardware, and software supported.
  • Analyze, design, implement, test, or evaluate software and systems related to engineering requirements; assess models using modeling methodologies.
  • Assess emerging policies, technologies, and best practices for applicability to networks, systems, hardware, and software.
  • Develop, design, and test complex system solutions for classified and unclassified networks and communication systems.
  • Conduct systems engineering analyses to optimize performance, schedule, timing, or costs.
  • Use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) across the engineering lifecycle.
  • Provide systems integration and technical support across multiple environments (e.g., NIPR, SIPR, MPE).
  • Support migration and transition of systems, including to cloud-based solutions.
  • Resolve incidents and problems to improve system performance and reliability.
  • Support reviews such as SRR and SFR, and participate in experimentation, integration, and operations.
  • Develop policies, procedures, guidelines, and TTPs.
  • Manage post-deployment and post-production software sustainment.
  • Review governance documents and assist in technical solution development for baseline change requests.
  • Participate in meetings on new technologies, projects, and modernization roadmaps.
  • Supervise engineering teams and develop robust, secure, scalable network solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Current adjudicated Top Secret SCI clearance.
  • BA/BS + 13 years of experience.
  • Certification in CISSO, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GICSP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, or applicable degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Mastery of systems engineering principles, especially for complex IT networks in classified environments.
  • Knowledge of MBSE methodologies and systems integration practices.
  • Experience with network modernization and cloud migration strategies.
  • Leadership experience supervising engineering teams and acting as a technical SME.
  • Excellent technical documentation skills and governance input.
  • Preferred familiarity with SRR and SFR review processes.
  • Knowledge of post-deployment software sustainment and incident resolution.
Desired Skills:
  • ITIL V4 familiarity.
  • Adaptability to operational changes.
  • Understanding of DoD standards and security requirements.

Pay Range:

The salary range for this position is $126,100 - $277,300 USD, influenced by location, experience, skills, and certifications.
