The Staff Accountant, reporting to the Controller, will play a vital role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of Ernst Brothers and Bluebell Fine Cabinetry & Design. This role includes responsibilities across accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, vendor compliance, and general bookkeeping. It is an all-hands-on-deck position ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and wants to help run and grow a small business. Experience with construction accounting is required. Familiarity with job costing, Procore, and Sage Intacct is a plus.

Essential Job Functions & Key Tasks

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and records
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Ensure subcontractor insurance compliance and tracking
• Maintain accurate and timely financial reports, records, and general ledger entries
• Collaborate with operations to ensure timely job cost tracking and expense allocations
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Assist the Controller and CFO with financial audits and reporting requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably in construction or a project-based business
• Working knowledge of GAAP and standard bookkeeping procedures
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage Intacct
• Familiarity with project management systems like Procore is highly desirable
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
