Overview The Construction Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring detailed project schedules for utility and infrastructure construction projects. This includes planning all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services within scope, budget, and safety guidelines. The role involves close collaboration with engineering, procurement, site management, and subcontractors to coordinate and optimize resources and timelines. Responsibilities Project Scheduling: Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project. Define project scope, milestones, deliverables, and deadlines in line with project Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly to reflect changes, delays, or scope adjustments. Planning & Field Execution: Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to plan activities and allocate resources efficiently. Identify and mitigate risks and scheduling conflicts proactively. Ensure proper sequencing of construction activities to meet key Interpret construction packages (e.g., drawings, designs, and BOMs) and ensure Develop work plans and construction sequences for field Conduct field walkdowns and jobsite visits to validate scope and execution Support logistics and site coordination, ensuring alignment with overall project Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed progress reports, dashboards, and lookahead Support project reviews and meetings with updated planning and forecasting Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity rates, earned value, and schedule performance. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure planning and execution adhere to relevant regulations, codes, and company Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for auditing and project close- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to align timelines and expectations. Provide expert planning support during tendering, pre-construction, and delivery Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve project management processes and methodologies. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in the power Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. 3-5+ years of experience in planning roles within the utility or infrastructure construction sector. Proficiency in planning software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent. Strong understanding of utility infrastructure (power, water, telecom, gas) construction processes. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and critical path method (CPM) preferred. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
