Job Description This position will support the vision, mission and strategic priorities of ESC Region 12 by providing assistance and support to the Department of Information Services.
  • Provide general secretarial support to the department director and department staff
  • Manage workshops/sessions for department
  • Handle travel arrangements and schedules
  • Effectively communicate and assist with tasks and projects
  • Maintain department budgets, invoicing, purchase orders and amendments
  • Coordinate office procedures and systems with department support staff
  • Maintain leave and time reporting records
  • Assist the department with the support of TSDS PEIMS and TxEIS and Skyward Software and services to School Districts.
  • Participate in ESC Region 12 and/or other professional development opportunities
Education/Certification
  • Associate's Degree required
  • Bachelor's preferred
  • Appropriate certifications or related work experience
Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to facilitate, communicate, organize, problem-solve, and manage multiple projects
  • Positive attitude, dependable, team player
  • Able to implement QMS initiatives
  • Ability to implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis and word processing
  • Ability to manage budgets
  • Excellent public relations, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in word processing, Excel, Windows and Google Apps
  • Manage multiple projects in a flexible and adaptable environment due to a variety of clients served
  • Handle critical deadlines, demonstrate initiative in difficult situations

General Responsibilities
  • Provide general secretarial support to Director, Assistant Director, and Department.
  • Assist with workshop preparation and data entry.
  • Proof the department's written communications prior to release.
  • Make travel arrangements for out-of-region or out-of-state travel
  • Maintain department budgets and prepare and track purchase orders.
  • Provide assistance to the department support staff.
  • Maintain leave and time reporting records.
  • Coordinate office procedures and systems with department support staff including session, conference, and special event management.
