Job Summary and Qualifications

The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by a physician. This role focuses on the day-to-day activities that ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care within a diagnostic and therapeutic environment.

What You'll Do in This Role

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform a variety of imaging procedures as ordered by a physician. You will demonstrate the ability to perform surgery and portable exams.

Key responsibilities include:

• Accurately following physician orders.

• Documenting the completion of exams in Meditech.

• Scanning documents and verifying images in PACS.

• Following proper procedures for quality controls and HLD related to equipment and accessories.

• Properly documenting a patient's history, including lab values.

What Qualifications You'll Need

• Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

• ARDMS registered or must acquire registration within 6 months of hire.

• Current BLS certification.

• New hires will be considered, but 1-2 years of experience preferred.

• (RVT) Registered Vascular Technologist must be obtained within one year of start date.

• (RDMS-AB) RDMS Abdomen Specialty must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

• (RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.

• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
