Duties Description
Schedule Member's appointments; prepare and update listing of the same.
Manage office items, timelines, and organization of office.
Represent and Staff the Member at community meetings and events.
Engage with government agencies, authorities and other elected officials.
Act as liaison with specific groups (e.g., labor unions, school boards, etc.).
Meet (and prepare for meetings) with constituents in district office or outside district offices.
Draft correspondence to constituents and provide follow-up with agencies, etc. on behalf of constituents.
Advise Member on pending community events.
Perform various functions related to the receipt and dispatch of mail.
Produce typewritten/word processed documents: citations, certificates, and letters.
Deliver memoranda to other offices: supplies, memoranda; related messenger functions.
Receive office visitors; receive and place phone calls.
Xerox, collate and file correspondence, documents, etc.
Write, edit and review correspondence, newsletters and other mailings.
Supportive in other office operations and community events.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 2+ years of professional experience working in an office environment with relevant skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable with using other digital platforms.
Excellent writing skills and command for the English language.
Efficient and exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and multi-task is a must.
Skills and motivation to interact effectively with a wide variety of people of diverse professional and cultural backgrounds and political views.
