As an Industrial Millwright II, you will use your technical skills and knowledge to ensure the safe and efficient maintenance of industrial machinery, conveyors, and mechanical systems involved in forestry product manufacturing. This position requires a seasoned professional, with a minimum of five years of experience in industrial equipment maintenance within a production environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain a variety of industrial equipment including conveying systems and major machinery like debarkers, canters, gang saws, and edgers.
  • Interpret drawings and printed instructions accurately.
  • Work effectively under pressure as a self-starter committed to safety.
  • Understand the alignment of pumps, sheaves, and sprockets.
  • Safely move machinery using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks.
  • Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments to set specific clearances between moving and stationary parts.
  • Align and install machinery using various tools including hoists, jacks, and micrometers.
  • Assemble and install equipment with hand and power tools.
  • Drill and layout mounting holes with precision.
  • Adjust clearances and alignment of moving parts and replace defective machine components.
  • Level bed plates and establish center lines using manufacturer's specifications.
  • Dismantle machines and reattach parts skillfully using hand tools and power tools.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with cutting torches (Oxygen/Acetylene).
  • Proficiency in welding (GMAW and SMAW).
  • Commitment to safety standards and compliance with ZES.
  • Willingness to work overtime and be available on-call.
  • A minimum of five years of experience as a Millwright in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or an Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening, physical examination, and background check.
  • A Maintenance Assessment will be administered with a minimum score of 80 required for consideration.
