The IT Principal Engineer provides direction, guidance, and definition of technology architecture to effectively support business strategy. May lead the development and implementation of various aspects of the Automation Strategy. Ensures integration of all aspects of architecture across specific domains in alignment with business strategies, objectives, and capabilities. May participate in strategic planning cycles across the enterprise. Understands what solution providers and third-party vendors offer and how they will integrate with the architecture. Researches and advocates new technologies, architectures, and systems. Manages relationships with business teams using cloud and continuously communicates with and involves key staff in the maintenance of the architecture(s). Responsible for technical architecture components that define the principles, guidelines, and standards to ensure technical decisions are aligned with the enterprises future-state vision.
