Drives truck and trailer to haul logs in a safe and efficient manner to designated company locations in Mendocino and Humboldt Counties. Drives truck and trailer to haul logs from logging sites to log deck or mill. Applies knowledge of commercial driving and skill in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations: such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading/unloading areas off highway and private dirt roads. Abides by all Company, DOT, State and Federal transportation safety regulations. May need to cut or remove pieces of bark from load prior to transporting using various small tools including; hand ax. Ensures load is properly secured and weight is evenly distributed on truck and trailer. Checks binders and wrappers to ensure load is secure. Inspects tractor, trailer and equipment for defects and safe operating condition before (pre-trip) and after trips as applicable also when stopped during the work day, and submits a driver's daily vehicle inspecti...Truck Driver, Driver, Manufacturing, Records
