The Director of Facilities is responsible for planning, directing, managing, and overseeing all aspects of facility management, including maintenance and repair of buildings, grounds, transit stations, transit platforms, and equipment to ensure that they are maintained in a safe and operational condition, and in accordance with any applicable federal, state, local, and regulatory laws, rules or guidelines. Distinguishing Characteristics This position is responsible for leading facility management, maintenance, and repair activities for the District grounds, buildings, and equipment, and the supervision of managers, employees and contractors assigned to perform these functions. The incumbent must demonstrate a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in planning, organizing, coordinating, and solving high level problems.
