: Job Details :

Conducts moderate to high complexity testing on clinical specimens in various areas of the hospital core laboratory department, including hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, immunology, and chemistry. Performs quality control on all tests. Follows-up on out of range results and relays critical values to appropriate teams. Utilizes the laboratory information system (LIS) to document patient examination results. Bachelors Degree Clinical Laboratory Sciences or one of the physical sciences Chemistry, Biology, etc. Minimum of two (2) years experience in designated clinical laboratory setting. Current New York State License as Clinical Laboratory Technologist Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist - PREFERRED Knowledge of Laboratory Information System Preferred Must possess verbal and spatial ability, form perception, finger and manual dexterity and clerical ability.
