Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report onsite a full-time basis. Background:We (GM Fairfax Assembly) are located in Kansas City, Kansas. We operate out of a 4 million sq. ft. vehicle assembly plant with a 572 acre campus and a 2,000 strong workforce. We build the Chevy Malibu and Cadillac XT 4, both of which won the J. D. Power Best in Segment category in 2020. The Quality Engineering (QE) Group is divided into four areas Exterior, Interior, Chassis and Electrical. Each area is headed by a QE Lead and typically comprises 3-4 engineers. What We Do: We fix problems. We become good at what we do when we fix problems fast, effectively, and get it right the first time. We move with a sense of urgency with a new vehicle produced every 65 seconds speed is really of the essence. We focus on supplier and engineering-related problems that impede assembling our vehicles or compromise its performance in the field.
