Performs sample handling in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations for environmental laboratories. Participates in documenting and performing tasks necessary to maintain the integrity of samples and support the analytical data. Position is full-time Monday - Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm Must live a commutable distance to Cranston RI - Compensation- $18-20/hour (DOE)Responsibilities. Follow laboratory standard operating procedures (SOPs) in the handling and disposal of samples and laboratory waste. Perform sample custodial duties including, but not limited to: sample inventory upon receipt, sample storage, and sample disposal. Sample disposal is carried out in a timely manner to allow for storage capacity. Participates in the management of hazardous waste by ensuring hazardous waste is properly stored and disposed of.
