As a Staff Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will: Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems; Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications; Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives; Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs; Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation; Execute necessary documentation as needed; Mentor junior software engineers within the team and across multiple products; and lead engineering practices alongside engineering manager. 10-15% domestic and international travel required.
