WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a local contract nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a local contract nursing job in Hauppauge, New York.Job Description & Requirements* Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care* Discipline: RN* Duration: 13 weeks* 36 hours per week* Shift: 12 hours, days* Employment Type: Local ContractWCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Post Anesthesia Nurse a for a 13-week contract assignment at an ambulatory surgery center Hauppauge, NY.Job Function:* Day Shift or Night Shift.* 5x8.* Provides post-operative nursing care to patients in a compassionate and individualized manner, following directions from the anesthesiologist and/or attending physician.* Documents all nursing activities and completes a nursing discharge note when the anesthesiologist approves the patient's transfer to the progressive recovery room.* Ensures all necessary equipment and supplies are stocked and readily available.* Monitors and records the patient's vital signs and level of consciousness in accordance with nursing procedures.* Assists the anesthesiologist or attending physician as needed.Job Requirements:* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).* Current New York State RN license or willingness to obtain one.* 3 years of relevant experience in this specialty.* BLS certification from the American Heart Association.* ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.* PALS certification from the American Heart Association is preferred.Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
