License: State license required. Certifications: BLS, NRP required. Must-Have: Experience with charting systems. Experience caring for neonates 29-34 weeks. Ability to provide breastfeeding support and handle breast milk. Experience with various feeding methods (bottle, breast, gavage). Knowledge of isolation precautions. Familiarity with central line and implanted line care. Experience with umbilical artery catheters and umbilical vein catheters. Ability to administer IV vasopressors. Experience with surfactants and steroids. Knowledge of neonatal abstinence syndrome. Training in bubble CPAP and oxygen delivery systems. Description: This position requires a registered nurse specializing in the neonatal intensive care unit. The nurse will provide care for neonates, focusing on those born between 29 to 34 weeks of gestation. Tasks will involve supporting breastfeeding and handling breast milk as well as administering different feeding techniques. Caring for central lines and understanding isolation protocols are critical to this role. The nurse will administer medications including IV vasopressors and be familiar with surfactants and steroids. Knowledge of neonatal abstinence syndrome and oxygen delivery systems is necessary. Flexibility to work some holidays and weekends is required.
