IT Infrastructure Technician Power Equipment Configuration & Installation
Location: Various Locations / On-Site
Are you skilled in IT infrastructure and power equipment installation? We are seeking an IT Infrastructure Technician to configure and integrate power equipment across our data centers. This hands-on role ensures seamless integration with Radius systems while maintaining accurate records in our Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and integrate power equipment in data centers.
- Work with project managers to ensure installations meet design specifications.
- Update rack elevations and room layouts, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Perform firmware updates and equipment replacements as needed.
- Follow strict security and safety protocols during installations.
- Coordinate logistics for equipment delivery and ensure installation readiness.
- Assist with decommissioning and responsible disposal of outdated equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure support and power equipment installation.
- Familiarity with data center environments, power, and cooling infrastructure.
- Proficiency in CMDB systems and Vizio for documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and design specifications.
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and adhere to safety standards.
- Valid driver's license and ability to transport equipment (mileage reimbursed).
- Technical certifications in networking or infrastructure management (preferred).
