Sr. GCP Data Engineer

Hands-on develop and oversee the implementation of cloud-based and on-premises data pipelines for large data sets from multiple sources in a healthcare data modernization environment. Work with architecture teams to drive strategic initiatives and data models around data lake house, data mesh, and advanced architectures that meet the evolving needs of the organization. Promote high performance data integration to interface with analytics and reporting models. Implement modernized data management solutions by collaborating with key stakeholders such as data scientists, data governance teams, clinical informatics, IT leadership. Enhance best practices as a stakeholder liaison for agile development, DevOps, data version control, and automation across data engineering team.

Insight Global is seeking a Sr. GCP Data Engineer to assist with a data modernization and cloud-based platform implementation for healthcare data at a major healthcare client. They will support the hands-on development as well as the architecture framework for cloud-based and on-premises data pipelining to promote data integration across the company with analytics and reporting connectivity. They will work fully remote EST hours with a data engineering team on the day-to-day to enhance best practices for agile development, DevOps, data version control, and automation across data engineering teams. They should be highly organized and detail-oriented from a healthcare and GCP background, with compliance knowledge on hand.

Skills and Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with hands-on data software development, specifically coming from a GCP background
• Experience programming in Python, SQL, and Java
• Experience partnering with data architecture (data lake, lake house, data fabric, data mesh) to execute engineering on road mapped projects
• Proactive experience with ETL design, data modeling, and creating data pipelines in a blended environment
• Digital platform building experience from software development angle
• Experience with healthcare data standards and working within clinical system networks (FHIR, HL7)
• Experience interfacing with modern data governance, privacy frameworks, and healthcare compliance (HIPAA)
