Manufacturing Position

Basic Qualifications:

  • HS Education or GED equivalency.
  • 3 years manufacturing experience.
  • Intermediate understanding of CMM and/or blueprint and process sheet interpretation.
  • Ability and willingness to use basic hand tools (crimpers, soldering iron, wire strippers, brazing equipment, etc.) and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, rulers, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to operate high temperature ovens and furnaces.
  • Ability and willingness to pass Visual Acuity Exam as necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain Solder, Braze, and Electro-Static discharge certification as required.
  • FAA Drug Test and Random selection Requirement for Certification

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble/Clean parts according to CMM Manual Preliminary Evaluation.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, magnetic testing as required (i.e. dielectric, meggar, hipot, etc.)
  • Perform in-process hi-pot testing; Perform basic set up of fixtures.
  • Perform vapor blasting as required.
  • Perform inventory counts and verification.
  • Assist with proto-type or first time builds with guidance from higher level employees.
  • Assist Engineering and/or Team in development and/or improvement of layout procedures and process sheets.
  • Review expiration date of materials to ensure materials & equipment to ensure all are current.
  • Proactively work to improve efficiency and quality of products; Good housekeeping skills.
  • Possess inspection stamp as required.
  • Utilize proper PPE, safety equipment, and follow safety procedures per position requirements.
  • Cross-train other employees as needed based upon knowledge and experience.
  • Compliantly complete all written and/or electronic labor tracking documentation.
  • Perform basic Oracle transactions as required.
  • Report problems to appropriate resource and/or Coach.
  • Keep all shift operators informed on special problems involving operation or set up.
  • Communicate with team to ensure all team members are aware of new processes and/or issues. May interact with internal cross-functional teams (i.e. planning)
  • May act as primary contact for auditors.
  • Participate in and assist leading team initiatives.
  • Perform troubleshooting responsibilities.
  • Understands and abides by the GE Leadership behaviors.
  • Exemplifies and coaches' others on the GE Leadership behaviors
  • Other duties as required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3 years manufacturing experience
  • Assembly, solder experience and/or electronics manufacturing experience.
  • Experience in a self-directed teaming environment
  • Experience using Oracle.
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to continuously use hands and fingers in repetition.
  • Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, twist, crouch, squat, climb, and/or balance.
  • Ability to continuously sit; ability to occasionally lift to 25 lbs.; ability to push/pull up to 22 lbs.
  • FAA Drug Test and Random selection Requirement for Certification

The pay for this position is $22/hour. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan.
