Role Overview: This position involves performing technical, predefined tasks to deliver excellent service for customer equipment, primarily focusing on proton therapy systems. The role includes installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and customer support for complex medical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, upgrade, and maintain Varian Proton Therapy Systems and subsystems such as High Vacuum, Cryogenics, Superconducting Magnets, RF Power, X-ray CT, Robots, PLC Controls, and Radiation Dosimetry.
- Provide on-site customer support, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Train customers and technical personnel on system operation and maintenance.
- Coordinate activities with installation teams and support resources.
- Monitor system performance, conduct preventive maintenance, and perform upgrades.
- Maintain detailed service reports and device history records.
- Adhere to safety policies and vendor credentialing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience with electronic, mechatronic, or electro-mechanical engineering, and testing equipment.
- Knowledge of micro-computer/PC systems and customer service attitude.
- Fluency in English and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Completed Varian internal technical training and responsibility to complete ongoing training.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP or ERP systems, ISO13485 standards, and servicing medical devices.
- Knowledge of local language and cross-functional system expertise.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel approximately 25%, including international travel.
- Reside within or willing to relocate to Miami, FL.
- Meet vendor credentialing requirements and work in radiation-controlled areas.
