Job DescriptionAssist insulator craftsmen with applying, removing and repairing insulation on industrial equipment, pipes, ductwork, or other mechanical systems such as heat exchangers, hot and cold pipes, storage tanks and vessels, to help control noise and maintain temperatures.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities:Assist journeyman with projects around the jobsiteMaintain tools and equipment and perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities.Inspect all tools/instruments and test equipment as needed.Follow all site guidelinesFollow direction of journeymen and supervisorsOther duties as assigned.Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proficient in maintenance and insulation skillsWillingness to be trained in all operations of insulation.Able to communicate items of concernKnowledge of insulation practices, skills and equipmentOrganization and time managementMust have good aptitude and manual dexterityGood reading comprehensionAbility to work well with othersCommitment to Zachry values and safety rules and regulationsMust have reliable transportationJob Requirements:Work within precise limits or standards of accuracy.Plan work and select proper tools.Work at heights without fear.Must be able to meet all physical requirements.Work environment: Will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot - cool/cold. Occasional rain.Will work at different elevations.Noise levels will be moderate to high. Job site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment and tools.People standing, walking, sitting, signaling and talking.
