Employment Specialist
The Employment Specialist provides on-site support and guidance to individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment, helping them learn job tasks, adapt to the workplace, and meet employer expectations. The Employment Specialist ensures clients build independence and succeed in their roles while fostering positive relationships with employers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual assessments to identify clients' strengths, interests, and barriers to employment.
- Develop personalized employment plans and provide ongoing support throughout the job search and placement process.
- Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure they feel supported and empowered.
- Collaborate with employers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to create job opportunities for clients.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on job readiness, interview skills, and workplace adaptation.
- Keep accurate records of client progress and program outcomes.
- Provide transportation training or assistance as needed.
- Attend trainings and team meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Dependable and responsive, with a strong commitment to client success.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt strategies based on individual client needs.
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Must pass background check and any required training certifications.
- ACRE Certification is a plus.
