Job Description :

The successful candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in public administration or a related field, adhere to the ICMA Code of Ethics, and have a minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government. The City Administrator will provide leadership in identifying key city initiatives, be a self-starter, and maintain excellent relationships with local citizens and businesses. Skill in successful economic development and strategies, and project management is desired. Must have strong finance and budgetary skills, ensure that the city funds are spent carefully and appropriately, and should have a successful track record of securing and administering grants and knowledge of human resources practices. Additionally, have strong communication skills, be a positive and supportive team leader, and proactively maintain relationships with other local government agencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Annual budget preparation and management
  • Supervision of 10 full-time staff
  • Oversight of municipal utilities including electric, water, & wastewater
  • Grant writing and management
  • Infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects
  • Economic Development
