From conceptualization to execution, you'll create the blueprint for events that reflect our bold approach to education and drive our community growth.As a key player working directly with senior leadership, you'll bridge marketing, admissions, and operations to orchestrate events that tell our story and fuel our expansion across 25+ markets.What You Will Be DoingYour mission includes:Crafting and implementing a dynamic events strategy that propels our enrollment goals and strengthens our brand presenceDeveloping innovative, scalable blueprints for signature events - from captivating TEDx-style showcases to immersive Shadow DaysOrchestrating vendor relationships and resource management across our entire campus networkMasterfully juggling 5-10 simultaneous events while ensuring flawless execution through real-time problem-solvingBuilding and mentoring a high-performing team of staff and contractors to deliver consistent excellence at scaleWhat You Won't Be DoingFollowing someone else's predetermined event formulaOperating within a rigid, micromanaged environmentBurning through excessive budgets or defaulting to external agenciesProducing uninspired, conventional school events that blur into the backgroundHead Of Event Operations Key ResponsibilitiesYour core mission is to architect and implement a robust, efficient, and scalable events ecosystem that enhances Alpha's brand presence and drives enrollment growth across all our campus locations.Basic RequirementsProven track record of 5+ years orchestrating end-to-end events with budgets ranging from $5K to $50KPortfolio of 10+ successfully executed professional events with demonstrable impactDemonstrated ability to create and document operational systems from the ground upExpert-level negotiation skills and exceptional stakeholder management abilitiesMust be based in Austin or ready to relocate, with commitment to 75%+ on-site presenceMust have authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorshipNice-to-have RequirementsPrevious experience in educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, or startup environmentsEstablished connections within the Austin events and vendor communityProven expertise in financial management, including procurement and cost optimizationTrack record of successfully scaling event operations across multiple venues or regionsAbout AlphaWant to join a learning rebellion that's transforming the traditional classroom?Alpha School is on a mission to reshape education with a bold approach that harnesses AI to accelerate learning and unleash student potential.They don't play by the old rules.Alpha is creating a new paradigm where students master core academics in just two hours a day, freeing up time for hands-on, passion-driven learning that truly prepares them for the real world.Alpha School is rewriting the rules of education.Sounds too good to be true?
