Heavy Equipment Operator

Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator for a Solar BESS project. You will be responsible for operating a variety of heavy machinery including dozers, excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks on a new construction site.

Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy machinery such as dozers, excavators, skid steers, and dump trucks.
• Perform civil work on a Solar BESS project site.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of all equipment.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to complete project objectives.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, skid steers, and dump trucks.
• Experience in construction and civil work.
• Ability to work on a Southern company site, specifically the former Plant Gorgas for Alabama Power.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in operating backhoes.
• Familiarity with Solar BESS projects.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Parrish, Alabama.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
