The fire in our belly to create new to the world products has guided and continueThe Production Technician supports the production of high volumes of product items in different packaging styles. This positionrequires inspection skills with attention to detail while scanning, weighing, measuring and inputting data. The Production Technicianensures that all work is completed safely, efficiently, to specification, and to the highest quality levels.Estimated starting annual base salary is $20.90/hour less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesVerify product, packaging materials and labels meet all documented specifications.Verify adequate sanitation and line clearances are obtained between product runs.Verify weights and date code printing are within specifications.Scan products using QR codes.Check product for defect levels and document results.Perform scale and weight suitability checks, along with other product measurements, as outlined in approved StandardOperating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions (WIs).Document all work in accordance with government regulations and company procedures.Produce and/or pack product to specification.Understand and follow recipes and written instructions.Maintain work area in a clean and sanitary condition.Operate equipment safely and efficiently as needed for each job.Work in a team environment and perform under GMP, Safety and Company guidelines.Identify potential defects in products and bringing attention to the issue.Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company and other regulatory requirements.Perform other related tasks and duties as assigned.Required QualificationsKnowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and safe food handling.Attention to detail, analytical, organizational and coordination skills.Basic computer skills.Ability to effectively communicate in English both verbally and in written form.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Flexibility to work in various departments and change roles as needed.Preferred QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Experience in food production and/or packaging items such as bottles, bulk cases and bags.Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office and/or production software.Bilingual in English/Spanish.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requiresstanding, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/ormove up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
