Senior Controls EngineerThe Senior Controls Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and testing of electrical control systems and equipment.Join our growing product development team and you too can innovateIT. Duties and responsibilities:Design and implement PLC-based control systems for car wash equipment, including HMI development.Collaborate with the Electrical and Controls team to incorporate customers' feedback and suggest design enhancements.Develop and maintain electrical schematics using SolidWorks Electrical.Support the production team with troubleshooting and customization of UL508A-certified control panels.Assist maintenance teams with root-cause analysis and corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime.Participate in the development and refinement of control strategies for new and existing products.Generate cost estimates and contribute to project planning efforts.Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and internal quality guidelines.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls engineering.10+ years experience in controls engineering or electrical design.Proficient with SolidWorks Electrical.Hands-on experience with UL508A panel design and compliance.Expertise in both digital and analog circuit design.Strong knowledge of industrial control suppliers, components, and design practices.Skilled in troubleshooting using tools like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes.Experience in manufacturing improvement initiatives.Preferred Qualifications:Familiarity with Beckhoff IPCs.Knowledge of SCADA systems.Experience in car wash equipment design or operations.Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols and networking.Benefits of joining the team:$125,000 - $150,000 salary based on experienceHealth, Dental, Vision, Short-term, Long-term disability & Life Insurance401K with 5% company matchPaid Time offFree Car WashesCompany Overview:Hoffman Development is a family-owned company that operates Hoffman Car Wash and innovateIT brands.
