The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing Tier I and Tier II support to end-users at the plant facility in Portland, Indiana. Escalation of tickets will be handled by technician to provide further in-depth analysis of complex issues. This is a Salary, Exempt position, reporting to the IT Director. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide frontline technical support and advanced problem resolutions for end users in all locations across the organization:
- Tier 1 and Tier 2 for initial contact, basic troubleshooting, and resolution of issues ranging from routine and basic, to more advanced or complex problems.
- Escalate Tier 3 issues involving system-level, infrastructure, or cross-platform integration problems to the appropriate IT Team members or third party support, and assist (as needed) in resolutions.
- Escalate and coordinate Tier 4 issues with the appropriate IT Team members, approved external vendors, and/or other support partners when issues exceed internal support scope, assisting (as needed) in resolutions.
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot printers and multifunction copiers, coordinating with vendors when needed.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on hardware and peripherals, proactively sharing observed or anticipated technology needs with the team.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and solution-oriented environment when engaging with end users, peers, and leadership.
- Provide one-on-one guidance during support interactions to enhance user confidence, promote effective technology adoption, and strengthen self-service capabilities aligned with team goals.
- Assist the IT Team with ongoing efforts to develop, standardize, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
