Survey CAD Tech
: Job Details :

Selectek has an immediate need for a Survey Cad Tech in the Chapel Hill, NC area. This is a full time, contract to direct position that is expected to go direct within 6 months of start date. Position also offers an 80% remote work schedule.

Key Services Expectations:

• Perform and compile as-builts for utilities, SCMs, foundations, and other site improvements
• Perform 2D and 3D drafting, primarily utilizing Carlson, Trimble Business Center, and Autodesk Civil 3D software
• Convert Field Data from Boundary Surveys
• Topographic Surface Models
• Residential, commercial and industrial projects

Required:

• 2+ years of progressive experience and knowledge with Carlson and Civil 3D
• Strong understanding of land survey and construction layout principles and CAD drafting techniques
• Willingness and ability to periodically work in the field alongside survey crews.
• Ability to prioritize with respect to projects, CAD standard, etc. on a daily basis
• Ability to work independently and as a team player

Pay range: $27/hour - $35/hour (100% paid benefits for employee. 15% 401k)

Term of assignment: 6 months contract to direct

Pay method when direct: Salary; $56,000 - $73,000 annual salary

Location of job: Chapel Hill, NC 27514

Hours and shift: Monday Friday; 8AM 5PM (Mandatory office every Monday)

Work from home: Yes, report to office on Monday and WFH remainder of week. *1ST couple weeks will be reporting to office on a daily basis to get properly setup, trained, etc. Candidate will be provided all hardware and software needed to function 100% from home.

Working remote: No, not fully (80% WFH)

Overtime expected: Maybe 5 hours

Travel: No

Work attire: Casual (In office 1 day a week)
